Total Hours 122.5

  • 40.5 hours of classroom training
  • 57 hours of in-vehicle training
    • 39 hours of driving time
    • 18 hours off-road maneuvers (hook/unhook, backing)
  • 15.5 hours of in-yard (equipment inspection)
  • 9.5 hours of air brake training

Total Costs: $9725.00

(this price includes the use of tractor-trailer unit for the 2 hour Government road test)

  • 11 hours classroom
  • 22.5 hours in vehicle
    • 9 hours driving time
    • 13.5 hours off-road maneuvers (unhook/hooking and backing)
  • 6.5 hours of ‘in yard’ training (equipment inspection)

Total Costs: $3750.00

(includes tractor-trailer for 2 hour Government road test.)

Note: this course requires a valid Class 3 license with 2 years of verified Class 3 experience. The student must apply to the government to have experience verified.

  • 9.5 hours of air brake training
  • 6 hours Classroom
  • 6 hours one on one driving
  • 4 hours in yard training
  • 4 hours off road maneuvering and tasks

Total Costs: $2500.00

(which includes the use of tractor unit for the Government Road Test.)

We accept VISA, Cash or E-transfer.
All training performed on 18 speed manual transmission.

Total Hours 9.5

  • 6.5 hours of classroom training
  • 1 hour practical demonstration (components and air brake build-up test)
  • 0.5 hours in-cab practice practical
  • 0.25 hours in-cab practical air brake test
  • 0.25 hours in-cab retest (when required on different day)
  • 0.5 hour lunch
  • Two 0.25 hour coffee breaks

Total Costs: $250.00

(this price includes the Alberta Air Brakes Student Manual)
